Cowabunga Festival: 4th, 5th & 6th September 2009 Set in a stunning rural location, just half an hour outside of Bournemouth on England’s epic Jurrasic Coastline, and only 15 minutes from the beach, nestled in the magical Isle of Purbeck, lies the perfect site to host the freshest new festival this September. |
Cowabunga Festival is a cosy 500 capacity boutique event spread over three stages, three days and three nights. Showcasing the very finest of rising local and national talent in the world of music, plus inspirational performance and installation art, this truly is a weekend not to be missed. A weekend including; stalls and markets selling handmade bespoke goods, eco-friendly workshops, honest, rustic food, sourced as organically and locally as possible and powered almost entirely by renewable energy. A place where anyone and everyone can get involved in each and every way, without having a negative impact on either the local or national environment. The musical line up for Cowabunga Festival is an ear-watering, genre busting collection of all things good; with music from the 1920’s right through to modern classics, from Swing, Jive and Gypsy Jazz to Latino Funk, Breakbeat, Hip-hop and Dubstep, with a little bit of just about everything else in between! The one thing you can be sure of is that there will be something to suit everyone, and almost definitely something you’ve never seen before. |

So whether it’s a chilled weekend with friends in a tipi by the beach, a 72 hour full tilt dance-off with complete strangers, three days of consuming sumptuous local crafts and food, or a traditional weekend of camping, sitting round a campfire singing along and telling ghost stories, Cowabunga Festival has a little something for all, and all have a little something for Cowabunga. Anything is more fun when you can get involved, and if you are a stickler for good times, great music, fancy dress, sun, sea, sand, amazing food, friends and families, relaxed vibes, clever crafts, camping, shenanigans and shindigs then you’re in for a rather special treat my friend. |
