Knapp Farmhouse B&B is ideally located in West Dorset, close to several towns and interesting places to visit; Powerstock lies in the heart of rural West Dorset, with Bridport and its twice weekly street market, monthly Farmers' Market, numerous restaurants and cafés, pubs, independent shops, galleries, Art Centre, museum and Electric Palace Cinema four miles to the South. West Bay and its harbour are close by with access to the spectacular World Heratige Site coastal path.
Beaminster is five miles to the north-west with its charming square surrounded by high quality food traders, gift shops, tea rooms and galleries. The attractive county town of Dorchester – the Roman Durnovaria - is twelve miles to the East on the A35 and possesses several intriguing museums (Dorset County Museum, The Dinosaur Museum the Tutenkhamun Museum to name but a few). The town looks to Maiden Castle and is well worth a visit.
Lyme Regis with its famous Cobb, galleries, restaurants, beaches, cinema and shops is ten miles to the West beyond Charmouth, the haunt of fossil hunters.
