Event: The Fire Festival is a free un-ticketed performance, music and arts festival organised by volunteers for the benefit and enjoyment of the local community. Please listen to and respect the festival staff at the event who are there to help and look after the welfare of all visitors. Timings: The Fire Festival takes place on Saturday May 12th in Bournemouth’s Meyrick Park from 12:30pm until 11:00pm. The live music, stalls and other attractions will run throughout the day. Live fire performances will begin from around 7pm. Workshops will run from around 2pm to 6pm. Check back soon for a full programme of timetables for the day. Information: Information and help will be available during the event from the Information tent. Access for visitors with disabilities: The Fire Festival aims to be as inclusive as possible to all members of the community. Meyrick Park is accessible for wheelchair users, lying on largely flat land. Please see travel information for close public parking to the park. Disabled toilets will also be available within the event. Travel Information: Meyrick Park is a five-minute walk from central Bournemouth, which is served by Yellow Buses and Wilts & Dorset Buses, and a 20-minute walk from Bournemouth Train Station. In line with our environmental policy we would like to encourage all visitors to use public transport. Parking near to the park is extremely limited but if you do drive please use the central Bournemouth parking shown on the map. Keep Fire Festival Tidy: Meyrick Park is a beautiful site and we would like to see more events like this happen upon it, so please do not being glass to the event and dispose of your rubbish into the bins provided. Volunteering: The festival is being organised by an enthusiastic group of volunteers. If you have a skill that could be of use or you would like to contribute towards making the festival happen then please email volunteer@thefirefestival.co.uk Children: Families and children are welcome at the festival. We ask though that parents and guardians look after their children at all times. If you lose your child please report it immediately to the information tent.
